Why would god let someone use their freewill to, say, kill a little girl or rape her?
What kind of god would let his children do these sort of things to each other?
After all, parents can break up their kids when they fight, so why shouldn’t god? If he loves everyone why let them suffer and hurt each other?

What do you think “free will” means?
If G-d made everything perfect, then we wouldn’t appreciate our health and safety that we have.
God don’t make no one kill. Its sin and comes from satan
Its my way of thinning the heard. By the way your not my children . Foster kids maybe
You’re trying to apply reason. logic, and compassion on Iron Age mythology.
Because God is not the god of this world, He is God over His kingdom. The people doing the murdering are not God’s children, but Satan’s’. Why should God get the blame for what Satan is doing? Read John 10:10 and you will see that the thief ( who is Satan ) is the one that steals, kills, and destroys.
“If G-d made everything perfect, then we wouldn’t appreciate our health and safety that we have.”
So God lets people die and suffer, just so the few that are healthy and safe can feel good about it? That makes sense to you?
I know it doesn’t make sense to me either that god would just sit up there and watch while people go through PTSD. after being rape.
It is my opinion that God does not allow anything, seeing as he does not exist.
Would you like God to make sure your picnic doesn’t get ant’s too. People sound like cry babies. You want free will to do whatever you want and then don’t want free will for bad stuff. God wants balance in life so people can CHOOSE to love Him.
Think outside this box you are in.
STOP BLAMING GOD, and give Satan his rightful honors for these type actions, NOT God.
The only FREE will God has given you or anyone is the WILL to choose Him or Reject Him.
You have that FREE WILL and that alone matters for your eternal salvation.
You decide as does everyone else who you serve.
God Or satan.
You answered your own question again. Free will w/out consequence is meaningless.
That said, who says He doesn’t ‘step in’ .
No God, no here. God here, here is nowhere. Game over.
What about the sins of omission?
What are we doing about it?
Are you asking for heaven without God, where evil isn’t extinguished, with all that this implies?
Fire and gasoline.
It is a fight between the Christ and Lucifer, between our spirit and our flesh, the spirit has no desires, or wants, it is the flesh that has desires, and wants.
The flesh is physical and under the control of Lucifer as all physical things of this world are.
The spirit is under the control of the Christ, it will not be until all in the flesh realizes that it is the spirit that is it’s true life and stop caring about the desire of the flesh, it’s life and body that you will truly understand the truth, the words Jesus spoke unto you.
We all have our destiny written-for example when will we die. You can die from age, sickness, murder etc. You have to die some way:) and if someone by his free will decides to kill you, why is that worse then if you get hit by a bus, or have cancer.
Everything that happens to us is part of the test. Death is just the gate to other world, it doesnt really matter how you die. And the people who suffer from one’s death maybe get a reminder that they are not immortal, that they did something really bad..or simply they must proove if they love God only in the good days-or in the bad ones too.
Besides every pain-of body or soul- deletes our sins, so it can be a mercy from God, not just a punishment.
Yes, we have been created by God with Free will because of Love, Love is untainted and pure, in order to have untainted love, the Free Will must also be untainted, i.e. if you are fully able to choose without any prejudice, intervention or force by God, because God loves you and I as much as like how God loved Adam and gave him freewill to choose to love God. God knows that if Adam was not given any choice but to choose God only, then that will not be love at all. Adam chose to disobey God and ended up giving Satan a chance to reap off Adam from his rights. Since God is holy, He cannot say no to Satan for Adam made a very bad decision. Unable to keep a very simple request by God as a rule to keep Adam on the right path (you see, God made it very simple for Adam – Just don’t eat from that particular tree and you will not sin. Simple?), Adam allowed all future human race to be born with sins after sins. But like all loving Father, God quickly devised an ingenious plan and transformed Himself as a man called Jesus. God then died for us after being very badly tortured and humiliated. Unknowing to Satan, since Jesus was not from Adam’s blood line but from God Himself, Jesus was never born a sinner. But He was crucified! Hence undoing what Adam did wrong at the Garden of Eden. God suffered in pains so that there may be a way for us to be saved and for God to continue to release His blessings to us. Since Satan, being in spirit form and was an arch angel, continues to criticize people to God in the Heaven, Jesus has become our sole defender in the Heavenly realm. Through worship and by showing respect to God (e.g. praise His name and tithing), Jesus can further defend us in Heaven by grading us with a + or ++ sign so that Satan cannot find any excuse to prevent God from blessing us. God created hell for Satan, and God will do much to prevent backsliders from being tricked by Satan to join his cohorts in hell. Ultimately, you’d get to choose where you want to be.
Because he’s a sick twisted malevolent bastard.
…because he’s all in your head.
Because from the time of the garden of Eden man has rejected God and choose to determine for themselves what is good and bad (true and false, real and unreal, reality and unreality). Mankind is living with the consequences of his own rebellious action. If man had listened or will listen to God things like these would not happen. Only God, who is omniscient, knows what is truly good and bad. Choose to serve and listen to God or serve and listen to yourselves. The choice is up to you. God will end all suffering in his due time, when man comes to realize that he cannot govern himself successfully without divine guidance.
