Say God were just a parent, and He has one little two-year-old child who does wrong without remorse because that child just hadn’t learned sympathy yet.
He also has a four-year-old who has passed that stage and now is kind to other children and animals.
Should he love the one less and the other more?
Would He be more wise to just help the younger one see what he does wrong, gently?
People are like that, some spiritually childish and some spiritually mature.
Would beating and torturing the two-year-old serve His purpose?
